Close to the things I think are best in Hoboken in descending order BOTH Basic & Aspen supermarkets, multiple laundry places, German Bakery, Lepores Chocolate Store, citibike stations, the path train, 2nd street vintage, Shaka, Tacoria, Antique 112... and you still aren't too far to go to Bread & Salt in Jersey city heights on a nice day.
About a 5 minute walk to the water where there is a lovely park to go to.
