Edgewater Heights

The apartment itself, which is on the 3rd floor, is ample size and a good layout that suit my needs. It has just been renovated -- walls painted, carpets cleaned, new bathroom sink, and kitchen cabinets refinished & re-hung. The apt also has built-in air-conditioner, plus a nice private balcony with a nice view overlooking a field. The building has laundry facilities. The property also has a pool, which is a key amenity for me. Two big negatives of the property: No elevator or storage. Being on the 3rd floor not having an elevator is major inconvenience for moving and bringing in groceries.

I liked the apartment; it would suit my needs. It's in very good condition as it's just being renovated (not quite complete when I toured it 3 days ago. And, it looks like the private balconies on all units have been replaced within the past year. However, immediately upon entering the building there was a distinct odor of cigarette smoke. Yet, the agent quickly acknowledged she noticed the odor too, pointing out the buildings are supposed to be smoke-free. I appreciated that. It would've been disconcerting had she not commented or, worse, lied about it. The property has a pool, which is a big plus for me. One aspect of the property needing improvement are the parking lots and roadways around the buildings. They should be re-paved.
