    Little gem at 9 Cedar Street in Montpelier, Vermont which is an old farmhouse turned into four small apartments. The most private of the four units, the 350 square-foot knotty-pine-clad interior and pumpkin pine floors gives this sweet 2nd floor loft-studio a rustic "cabin-vibe". Two sky lights and four windows make for lots of light and a bright and cozy environment with a nice view to the west of the Statehouse's golden dome. Shared porch and deck area. Shared cold-water laundry facilities available March-December (closed if weather falls below 10 degrees in Jan/Feb) Studio is unfurnished. One out-door parking spot for one car only (no room for a truck). Charm and privacy just a few blocks from Montpelier's downtown where you'll find movie theaters, bakeries, bookstores, and weekly farmer's markets. 35 minutes to Burlington. Quiet, tidy habits appreciated. 12 months lease, 1st/last/security/references/credit check. One immaculate cat would be considered with excellent landlord references and pet deposit of $300 with 12 month lease. Available August 15th, 2025. Thanks for your interest! Sam. ~ 12 months lease required. ~ Owner pays for utilities including $50 per month for heat (cheaper to get your own heat account which is encouraged) Owner pays town water&septic and wifi as well as garbage/recycling/compost removal, snow-plowing and lawn-mowing. Tenant to turn heat down to 60 degrees when leaving the premises for eight hours or more (like a workday, or a vacation). The wifi is included and decent but If tenant requires stronger wifi they are welcome to set up and pay for increased service. ~ Use of air-conditioning unit in the summer months is extra ~ to be negotiated with landlord but a $25 minimum per month of usage. ~ Tenant has access to seasonal shared laundry-room - March through December - with coin-operated (cold-water only) washer & dryer. No storage on premises - sorry. ~ Tenant responsible (along with the other tenants at 9 Cedar) for shoveling from door to driveway and keeping that little pathway clear of snow and salted if icy. Folks just usually grab a shovel and it takes a few moments but tenant must be able to do this.
