When you enter the apartment, you are in a large room with lots of windows, original wood floors, ceiling fan, double closet with sliding mirror doors, and a window air conditioner. This room can easily hold a queen size bed, couch, and a dresser.
The kitchen is equally large, and has light oak cabinets, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, and a washer/dryer stack unit. The kitchen can easily hold a table and chairs, book case, and a desk.
The bathroom is off the kitchen and it has an antique claw foot tub with an attached shower.
Up to 2 spayed/neutered Cats and Dogs under 40lb are welcome with pet rent and pet deposit. Dogs over 40lb must be approved by property owner with the submission of a picture to verify height and weight and no large breeds are allowed. Dogs must be crated when tenant is not home and during maintenance or showing of unit.
References and security deposits are required.

Tenant pay a security deposit equal to 1 month's rent and a utility deposit equal to 1/2 month's rent. This is a non smoking unit. We take neutered/spayed cats and dogs. Pet deposit is equal to 1/2 a month's rent. Pet rent for cats is $20 per month and pet rent for dogs is $35 per month. This apartment comes with a private driveway.
Showings are by appointment only. M-F, 10 AM thru 7 PM. We do not show Saturday and Sunday. The house, licensed by the city, is locally owned and managed by the Schneider family (serving Lawrence tenants for 37+ years).
Financial Requirement: Each applicant must either earn 4x's the entire rent (for the unit) in income from retirement, disability, and/or permanent employment, or applicant must have a Guarantor, who lives in the continental United States, and owns real estate in the United States. We must be able to verify that the Guarantor owns the property through the county where the real estate is located. All applicants must qualify on their own/ independent of co-applicants (no applicant may share a Guarantor).
Application fee is $60 per applicant if a lease is signed $40 of the application fee will be credited to the security deposit.
