In retrospect, he looked desperate. He quickly showed me up to the 2nd level for the apartment, over snow and ice-glazed stairs, opened the door and stepped aside to let me ion. Then he just waited on the balcony stairway until I finished looking around. The place was like a sardine container...way too small for more than one person. I think that he knew that I wouldn't be interested...not sure. He didn't say much of anything at all.

At first sight, the overall appearance of the building was just awful! Signs of age and disrepair were obvious. The property has not been kept up well at all. The stairs were creepy, and once inside of the apartment it was clear that it needed a lot of work, and looked very shabby. At least there were no obvious signs of bugs or rodents. There is very little room for storage and the laundry room with one washer and one dryer--in a really tight area--was appalling! For so many apartment residents I could only imagine how bad it could get. Unless one is really desperate, it's not worth it, even for the rental fee.
