    This historic building located half a block from the Eastern Market metro stop is currently available for a 12-month lease (August 1st) This apartment is perfect for a grad student, couple, interns, transplants, etc. The Neighborhood: In 2015 the American Planning Association voted Eastern Market to be one of the 10 best neighborhoods to live in the entire United States. Eastern Market provides a true neighborhood feel with access to all the city amenities at your fingertips. Walking distant to Rose's Luxury, Ted'sBulletin, Cava Mezza, Matchbox, Barrel, the Library of Congress, and Pineapple & Pearls. Baseball season is around the corner and Nat's stadium is a 15-minute walk, or take the free shuttle from the Ugly Mug. Within one block you can find a CVS, Post Office, Community Library, and above all the Eastern Market (blue and orange) Metro stop. Within 3 blocks you can find multiple parks, the Washington Sports Club, community swimming pool, the Eastern Market farmers market (open every day except Monday). Tree-lined streets and an incredibly quaint neighborhood. The Building: This is a historic 1906 brick building comprised of 4 separate units; two 1-bedroom apartments and two 2-bedroom apartments. There is a common area in the basement that all tenants have access to. In the basement, there are 2 high-end washers and dryers that are free for tenant use. Also located in the basement are individual large storage units with approximately 45 square feet of storage space. Water is included in the monthly rent. All units have been updated with a modern electrical panel. There is street parking available and is usually not hard to find a spot within the block. When I got my DC license I received a "guest" parking pass that allows me to park in Zone 6 parking for as long as I need. Unfortunately, there is a no cats or dogs pet policy. Tenant responsible for electricity, cable, internet and gas.
