     Management

Property manager was abroad and yet was able to get me in to view the unit, so I was grateful for the communication.

     Property

Love the Cherokee building — but this unit is a small studio, not a 1-bedroom. Lots of closet space; not much light; not much by way of views.

Zip code 10075 sits on the Upper East Side around the East 70s, blending stately prewar co-ops and brownstones with sleek high-rises along Second Avenue. Expect classic New York seasons—breezy springs, hot humid summers, colorful falls, and brisk winters—plus easy outdoor time at Central Park’s East 72nd entrances, John Jay Park, and the East River Esplanade. Daily life is walkable: grab coffee at Joe Coffee or Bluestone Lane, groceries at Citarella, Morton Williams, or Whole Foods on 63rd, and workouts at Equinox 74th. Evenings lean convivial rather than rowdy, with neighborhood favorites like J.G. Melon, Uva, and Orsay, and boutique browsing on Madison Avenue. The community skews a mix of longtime New Yorkers, young professionals, and families, and is notably pet friendly. Recent months show a median rent in the mid-$4,000s, with most listings ranging roughly from the low $3,000s to the mid-$6,000s, and fast commutes via the Q at 72 St and the 6 at 77 St.
