    What's special

    Full sized appliances
This very large, one bedroom apartment is vacant and available now. The apartment is fully equipped with a complete kitchen (minus a stove, but I can provide a hot plate and toaster oven/air fryer to replace the stove) with full sized appliances including a dishwasher, brand new over the range microwave, brand new refrigerator with water filter and ice maker, full sized washer and dryer, mini-split for individual heat and AC, etc. There are private front and back entrances to the apartment and the ceiling height is good (about 7 feet) so you would be comfortable living here even if you are tall. The apartment comes with some basic furniture like a queen sized bed, some stools for the bar, etc. Utilities are split with the housemates upstairs and averages about $80 a month each for everything (water, electric, gas, FIOS Internet) The apartment is located on 14th Street between Allison and Buchanan. I call the neighborhood "Upper 14th Street" but it's also known as 16th Street Heights, Petworth, or Columbia Heights. It is just a few blocks north of all the activity of Columbia Heights but located in a safer and quieter area then Columbia Heights. It's one block from the Upshur Rec Center and Pool which is free for you to use. There are multiple 14th and 16th St bus lines to bring you downtown and the Georgia Ave/Petworth metro stop is a 15 min walk. The apartment has a walk score of 91 since you are walking distance to all the supermarkets, restaurants, bars, shops, etc. of Columbia Heights and Petworth. Quick bullet points to answer commonly asked questions: -- The only application "fee" is $47 to run a tenant screening. -- Refundable security deposit is one month's rent. -- In order to stay compliant with DC occupancy laws the apartment is for one person only (no couples or families). -- No animals or pets (you can have a goldfish though, maybe a cat) -- No smoking or vaping inside the house. -- Off street tandem parking is available for free in the back of the house, also there's several blocks of ample un-zoned street parking with no restrictions across the street from the house. Please message me for the link to the video of the apartment, also I can give you the exact address so you can map it and see all the amenities of the neighborhood, calculate your commute to work, or if you want to explore the area around the house in person before scheduling a showing. Thanks for looking!
District law requires that a housing provider state that the housing provider will not refuse to rent a rental unit to a person because the person will provide the rental payment, in whole or in part, through a voucher for rental housing assistance provided by the District or federal government.
