The Coop coffee shop is just a few blocks away. The Fort Totten METRO station is about a mile away on the Red and Green Lines, only about a 4-minute drive. There is a bus stop at Blair Rd and Nicholson down the block where you can catch a bus to the Fort Totten METRO rail subway station and around town if desired. Multiple bike and scooter rentals are available nearby, including Lime, Bird, Lyft, and Uber JUMP scooters and bikes, which are readily available on nearly every corner of the city. The sounds of everyday living can be heard at times in the apartment as the family lives upstairs. However, they are very responsive to managing the noise level, and you can expect the home to be fully quiet after 8pm daily. There is a strict no-smoking policy, and a $500 cleaning fee will be charged immediately if traces of smoking are found in the house. This policy also includes no smoking of e-cigarettes inside the house, but you are free to smoke outside as long as there is no debris left and fire hazard to the house and neighbors.
