The apartment is located near the intersection of Western Ave. and Howard St., on a very quiet street. It is about midway between the Charles river and Cambridge's Central Square (City Hall, etc.). Prime location, walking distance to Harvard College, Harvard Business School, and MIT. To MGH, it is 2.3 miles, and 2.6 miles to the Longwood Medical Area. It is about a seven minute walk to the Red Line train station at Central Square. Whole Foods is a five minute walk. Very close to lots of pubs and nice restaurants, shopping, and everything else.
All three bedrooms have really nice bay windows (see pictures). The front bedroom is enormous and has an office inside. The middle bedroom is also enormous. The rear bedroom is average size (see floor plan). The rear bedroom has an "open concept" closet, designed by a former tenant who was an architect. "Open concept" means you can see the clothes hanging; there is no closet door. The kitchen and bathroom are large, and very pleasant. Laundry machines are provided inside the unit.

The apartment has excellent central air conditioning, and has a private rear deck. I actively maintain the garden, and there are lots of nice plants and a nice lawn. You have your own private outdoor deck on the second floor, but the backyard, and the 3-car driveway, are shared with the first-floor unit. The first-floor tenants are a nice professional couple, and I'm committed to finding quiet, respectful people for the unit above them. No smoking, no pets.
Due at signing is first month's rent, last month's rent, and security deposit, totaling $13,200. Tenants pay all utilities.
Sufficient income and a good credit score required, but if you're a student don't have that, you can have a parent or sibling cosign the lease, if they do.
