We're excited to tell you about the second-floor unit available for rent in our two-family home. It has a separate entrance for your privacy. We're a friendly, artsy, and handy couple in our mid-40s, and we live on the first floor. The unit was renovated two years ago and has been kept immaculately clean by our current tenants, who are moving to the city. We'll also be making a few upgrades before you move in. The apartment features two spacious bedrooms, an open-concept kitchen, dining, and living room area, and a huge office or gym space in the attic on the top floor. You have an access from your apartment. (See the pictures of steps in the unit.) All rooms have hardwood floors, and we'll be provided brand new rugs. The apartment is very bright with ample natural light, a great view, and a modern Mediterranean aesthetic. Brick accent walls and a non-functioning fireplace add to its charm. You'll love the amazing sunsets and the stunning red maple tree in the fall, visible from your windows. For storage, you'll find three closets on the second floor, and the top-floor attic offers a lot of storage space in addition to the office/gym area, which has high headroom and two windows. The bathroom includes a large bathtub and shower combo. The apartment is all-electric, with energy-efficient appliances. We've recently installed a heat pump HVAC split AC units for both heating and cooling. They are very quiet and efficient. The walls and floors are well-insulated, and previous tenants reported an average electric bill of $200-250 per month including heating and cooling. Summer is much lower and winter might be a little higher depending on the temperature. Our home also has a beautiful porch with an open view, which is a common area for you to enjoy. We'll also reserve the parking in front of the house for you. The neighborhood is generally quiet and conveniently located near Main Street, Hudson Valley Brewery, Roundhouse, various boutique stores, restaurants, and local landmarks like the waterfall and hiking paths. You can easily access the train station via the free loop bus, or it's about a 5-minute drive. Walking to the train station takes approximately 40-45 minutes. We are sharing some empty building pictures from two years ago (there had been some upgrades since then), and some pictures with furniture of our current tenant. We have a great relationship with them. We need to coordinate the showing with them, so please let us know some option dates to see the unit. We prefer no pets but small pets might be considered. Please let us know if you have any questions. Owner pays for water. Tenant is responsible for paying the electricity and internet. Heating, cooling, hot water and stove are all electric and very energy efficient machines. In-unit washer, dryer and washing machine. No smoking inside. First month of rent and the deposit is required to sign the agreement.
