Property
Pretty rough. The photos are a touch misleading. Make it appear as though there’s a little fenced in yard with grass when only the concrete patio is fenced in. Always a little alarming when you ask if the place will be cleaned before move-in and the response is that a professional cleaning crew has already gone through... yikes. Much smaller than photos make it seem. The 2,000+ square footage must include the other three units in the multiplex as this place was definitely only around 700 square feet. I love the floors and earthy tones. Two spacious closets in the bedroom were nice. There is a small laundry area on-site but it was filthy. Tons of holes in the wall. Scuff marks on every single wall in the place. Chunks of the drywall were missing. Most cabinets/drawers had pieces of the wood missing. The refrigerator looked brand new but stood out among all the older parts of the home that need to be fixed.
Management
The realtor was nice but called me by the wrong name three times - even after I politely corrected her. When I asked if it would be cleaned before move-in she said it already had been.... if that’s true, I would never hire that cleaning crew again. I asked if the holes would be filled in and she said that’s negotiable. I asked if the house would be painted and she responded that the landlord just really wants to get the place rented. It felt pretty clear to me that the landlord had no interest in fixing up the problems in this home, which leads me to believe he wouldn’t be a decent landlord.
