In terms of general location, the unit is accessible through several different exits from the 101 freeway, including the Lynn Road exit (towards Westlake and LA), the Borchard Ave. exit, and the Wendy Drive exit (towards the Camarillo/Oxnard area). Points north along the 101 include Ventura, Santa Barbara and miles of beach. The intersection of the 101 Freeway and the 23 Freeway (leading to Moorpark and the 118 Freeway) is close by and easily accessible via Lynn Road.
Meanwhile, Potrero Road provides "backdoor" access to the Oxnard/Camarillo area (including the Naval Base Ventura County installations at NAS Mugu Point and Naval Base Port Hueneme). The California State Channel Islands main campus is accessible via Potrero Road in this direction, as is the PCH leading south to numerous beaches and parks where the Santa Monica Mountains meet the ocean. There are also numerous beaches in Point Hueneme and Oxnard accessible via Potrero in this direction.
Southbound, Potrero Road leads through the pastoral Hidden Valley to the backside of Westlake village and Highway 23 (access through the mountains to PCH and the ocean).
