The Cove: EXQUISITELY FURNISHED GARDEN-LEVEL LIVING IN EXCLUSIVE HISTORIC FELLS POINT COMMUNITY LESS THAN A MILE FROM JOHNS HOPKINS HOSPITAL
Spacious and smart, this fashionably furnished 1 BR/1 BA garden-level apartment featuring sunny decor anchors a historically certified former nunnery situated less than a mile from Johns Hopkins University, the Historic Inner Harbor and the Ravens/Orioles sports complex. The Cove features contemporary LVP flooring, high ceilings, a one-of-a-kind artsy mirror, a welcoming kitchen area and a sizeable bedroom with a giant closet and enormous armoire. The French provincial cherry dresser has a secret -- just pull a chair up to it and the center drawer is an old-fashioned bankers desk with secret storage and a surface ready for your laptop. The living room area is accented by a cozy and contemporary cafe space, just right for two. Your entryway has a USB charging station for your cell phone. Just two steps away from the laundry facility, its location in the building is like having your own washer/dryer in your unit, but without sacrificing any of your space. Great amenities including a fully stocked kitchen, an iron and ironing board, hamper and laundry bin, microwave and toaster oven and more, make for easy living. [Please note that our wall art is shown here not yet mounted -- that'll be done before you arrive.]
Behind the keypad-secured gates of The Convent House, members of our exclusive community enjoy a quiet courtyard with a large common space veranda, perfect for reading quietly or soaking up some sun, chatting with great neighbors and more. (If you're a JHUer, you'll find classmates and/or co-workers just upstairs.) With ample on-street, resident-preferred permit parking (and a bicycle rack for self-powered residents), this exclusive building offers both a sense of seclusion and community in a convenient location. When you're ready for a bite to eat, visit our next door neighbor, Water for Chocolate, featured in People Magazine as the best breakfast spot in Maryland.
Our environment offers both a sense of seclusion and community in a wonderfully convenient location. When you're feeling social, you'll feel lucky to live right across the street from Baltimore's hottest new gathering spot, The Ministry of Brewing, which occupies the old St. Michael's Church. (Since this craft brewery invites folks to bring the food of their choice -- home-cooked or from a restaurant it's like having your own trendy dining room across the street, providing you large tables and unlimited space for entertaining with friends over dinner or Baltimore's best beer). Our courtyard is ideal for social distance gatherings of friends who will join you to socialize, grill or simply chill. In contrast with larger properties with heavy foot traffic, our small community has just 10 units -- clinicians from JHU, artists and other smart, friendly residents.
Our energetic Convent House liaison (formerly known as our supertenant) is on his second stint as a Convent House resident. Exceptionally handy and naturally helpful, he's the neighbor everyone wishes they had, providing onboarding and help with any issues that may arise. He's in constant touch with the building owners (as you're invited to be as well) to ensure that your home feels like just that.
With convenient public transportation and JHU student/employee shuttle service nearby, The Convent House enjoys a 90+ walkability rating. All public transportation takes you close to your neighborhood Whole Foods and other necessary stores.
Finally, our units are often passed on by word of mouth from friend to friend, inherited by visitors who eagerly await the next vacancy. Consequently, we are typically at full occupancy -- the Cove is currently our only vacancy. Were a bit picky -- everyone in the community is friendly, pleasant and happy to be at The Convent House. [As we are open to short-, mid- and long-term tenancy, this property is cross-listed on various platforms with terms adjusted for duration of stay.]
The Cove is available for short- and mid-term rentals as well, however different rental terms apply. For leases less than one year, the rent is $1550 monthly or prorated daily.
