Hi and thanks for your interest in the apartment. If you see the listing, it is still available. When responding, please introduce yourself and provide some information that you think a property owner would want to know. 1 year lease, 2 months security deposit required. Thanks
Available for rent is a large 2 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor of a home built in 1869. It is a clean, sunny, and safe place to live in an owner occupied building. The apartment is located directly across from the Portland Observatory, and is close to the ocean, shops, and all that Munjoy Hill has to offer. Indoor cats would be considered, sorry no dogs.
There is a large eat-in kitchen, a small bedroom off of the kitchen, and a separate pantry area containing the refrigerator and cabinets. Moving through the kitchen you come into the living room with a nicely crafted maple floor and built in china cabinet. The bathroom is off of the living room, featuring a built in cast iron tub surrounded by porcelain tile. Another small room (8x9), which is often used as a large walk in closet for the bedroom off of the kitchen or a second bedroom, and finally another living room featuring an arched bay window complete the apartment.
I live in the building and am looking for quiet, responsible, and considerate neighbors that can pay rent on or before the 1st of the month. No smoking is allowed on the property. There is a large yard with berry, apple, and lilac trees, the neighbors surrounding the house are quiet owner occupied buildings and the Hilltop Superette which is conveniently located next door. It is a long south facing building so the sun helps to heat the apartment in the winter. There is an efficient Rinnai natural gas heater along with tight double hung windows and insulation- so heat is relatively inexpensive. Plaster ceilings, period moldings, lots of windows and light. The entire apartment was recently renovated and painted with light airy colors, hardwood floors refinished, outlets rewired, newer appliances installed. Tenants pay their own natural gas heat, all other utilities are included with rent. Laundry is in the basement. Please drop me a message and I'll be happy to answer any questions. Thanks! And good luck on your search.
