This senior apartment community consists of 28 duplexes, each with a carport and a covered rear veranda. The large clubhouse provides an upscale venue for holiday gatherings, birthday parties, potluck meals, bible study groups, and calligraphy classes. Each apartment features nine-foot ceilings, hardwood laminate flooring, solid wood cabinetry with granite countertops, and Energy Star appliances. This project was developed in partnership with Community Housing Initiatives of Columbus, Georgia. The project utilized low-income housing tax credits, HOME loan funds, and a TECAP (Tax Credit Assistance Program) loan provided by the Alabama Housing Finance Authority (AHFA). Equity was provided by Auburn Bank. Utilities included in addition to rent: Risk Mitigation: $11.00
