Anchored by historic Old Town Monrovia along Myrtle Avenue, 91016 blends foothill charm with everyday convenience. Strollable blocks lead to cafes, bakeries, gastropubs, a movie theater, and the weekly Friday night street fair, while grocery runs are easy at Trader Joe’s, Sprouts, and Vons around Huntington Drive and the Huntington Oaks shopping center. Outdoor lovers head to Monrovia Canyon Park’s waterfall trail, Library Park, and Station Square Park; the neighborhood is notably family- and pet-friendly with tree-lined streets and easy access to the 210, the Metro L (Gold) Line at Monrovia Station, and bikeable foothill routes. The vibe is warm and community-forward, with local breweries like Pacific Plate and an easygoing coffee culture. Recent Zillow market trends show a median asking rent in the high $2,000s, with most listings ranging from the low $2,000s to the mid-$3,000s over the past few months, depending on size and proximity to Old Town and transit.
