Management
The managers in the office are wonderful. Too bad they have to work in this building though - really they are too classy - but they do their job in excellent fashion and were very respectful. Never did they put down the building, they simply took us on the tour and we were able to see for ourselves the situation at the Stinky Orsini.

Our experience touring the Orsini made us extremely sad. It is one of the most architecturally beautiful buildings in Los Angeles, and yet it has been turned over to the pot smokers! How sad. To create such a lovely, authentic European atmosphere, down to the finest details, and then allow the complex to reek of the nauseating odor of pot smoke in every corner, is a shame. We suggest the owner of this complex follow the example of the owner of the Eastern Columbia where smoking of any kind is NOT permitted on the premises, outside of the building, and yes…even on the sidewalk where people take coffee and breakfast and are not assaulted by this terrible odor. Not everyone in LA is a pot smoker, or a smoker of any kind. We would have loved to make our home in the Orsini, but after spending about 30 minutes touring with your gracious tour guide, we knew we could never live in such a place. People were on the balconies smoking, in the hallways, the carpets give off the scent of pot, as well as the apartment (although they tried to mask it with new paint and a plug-in air freshener. My sense of smell was not fooled by any of those measures. I suspect it is the fear of losing tenants that stops the owner from not allowing smokers, but I feel this is a short-sighted approach. The tenants you are losing by having this "freedom to smoke policy" are the ones who would serve you better in the long run and give your building a respectable reputation.
