Was told not to bother. Owners expect a credit score of 600 or better which is honestly house purchasing credit. Took the guy all day to tell me that much. In all honesty our conversation could have been summed up in 1 sentence that took about 6 seconds to type, but for some reason i was left on the edge of my seat for 12 hours.

Centered where the Rock and Crawfish rivers meet, Jefferson (53549) offers small-town warmth with a historic brick downtown, leafy streets, and four-season Midwest living—snowy winters, vivid fall color, and breezy summers by the water. Recent Zillow market trends show a median rent around $1,250, with most listings in the past few months ranging roughly $900–$1,600, giving renters options from vintage upper flats to newer townhomes. Grocery runs are easy at Piggly Wiggly, with big-box and outlet shopping minutes away at Johnson Creek Premium Outlets; coffee and casual eats cluster along Main Street and near the river, and Stable Rock Winery & Distillery anchors a low-key nightlife. Outdoorsy locals bike the Glacial River Trail, paddle the Rock River, and gather at Jefferson County Fair Park for concerts and the county fair, plus the beloved Gemuetlichkeit Days festival. The area is friendly for families and pets, with the Jefferson County Dog Park, riverfront green spaces, and community events year-round, while Highway 26 and nearby I-94 make commuting to Madison or Milwaukee straightforward.
