    What's special

The Historic brick MacBeth Building. Premier historic 1 bedroom, two story townhouse in West Central. A magnificent Italianate built in 1875, easily one of the oldest, if not THE oldest standing apartment building in the county. Are you kidding me? This place is just awesome. Large living room leads to a large kitchen. Gas stove. Up the stairs to an office area. Claw foot tub in the bathroom that a human being can actually fit in, that is set up for a shower as well. HUGE bedroom with an exposed "Chicago style" brick wall. Rebuilt new second floor deck that is big enough for a couple chairs and a pair of Coronas. Off street parking. Laundry on property. Up to 2 cats or 1 reasonable dog are welcome with a 1 time $200 pet fee and $20 a month per pet. Additional pets are charged a $100 pet fee and $20 a month each. This is a NON-SMOKING Building, which includes recreational smoking. Tenant pays Electric for lights/plugs and a $25 water/sewer surcharge. Landlord provides Gas (Heat, Hot water, stove use). The ideal candidate(s) will have a minimum credit score of 650, no active collections, no felonies, no violent charges of any kind, zero evictions, and have a (combined) Net or take home (IN YOUR POCKET after taxes) income of 3 (Three) times the posted rent. If you do not qualify traditionally, you may use a well-qualified and collectable co-signer or put down 2 months of rent as an additional deposit. If you have any questions on the process, please see the listing "Get Pre-Approved..." for more notes.

Cultural anchors include the Embassy Theatre, Fort Wayne Museum of Art, Foellinger‑Freimann Botanical Conservatory, Parkview Field (TinCaps), and the Allen County Public Library. Promenade Park and the Rivergreenway trail system invite biking, jogging, and dog‑friendly strolls; the Skyline YMCA keeps fitness close. Groceries are easy at George’s International Market, with boutiques and services clustered along Calhoun and The Landing.
