West Ridge
Also known as West Rogers Park, West Ridge is a somewhat quiet and quaint community on the far North Side of Chicago. Given its proximity to Rogers Park and Lake Michigan, West Ridge is a peaceful neighborhood to live in with several great features, such as numerous parks, good public transportation, and a variety of cafes and restaurants. Local features including historic mansions, cultural centers, and farmers' markets all contribute to the overall diverse and inviting character of West Ridge. For those who want the best of both worlds, the city and the suburbs, residents can certainly have it all: walks, runs, or bike rides throughout the year along the North Shore channel of the Chicago River, while only being a bus or train ride away from downtown Chicago itself.
