Currently, there is only one apartment, a small studio, available. Please keep in mind that we can only rent to you if your credit score is over 600 and you have no history of tenant infractions, such as Failure to Pay Rent. The Winona, built in 1905 as luxury apartments for the rich to winter over in the city, is in the center of Mt Vernon on a well lit street one block west of the Washington Monument and N Charles St, one block east of the Center Light Rail stop and steps from the JHU and Charm City shuttles. It contains Studio (around $875), one bedroom ($975+) and two bedroom apartments (some with two full baths) ($1295 - $1345) with unique floorplans on 8 floors, many with fabulous views of historic Mt Vernon and the Washington monument. Most of the one bedrooms have bay windows and some have exciting features like French doors and spiral staircases. Most of the apartments have a strip kitchen and for all, cooking is with gas. Some of the original fixtures (hardwood floors, lights, doors) have been preserved. There is a coin-operated laundry on the third floor. We believe in security! There are two dead-bolted front doors and security cameras throughout. On street parking is available by Balt City residential permit ($20 a year beginning each October 1) We reserve the right to refuse credit and criminal history reports supplied by third parties, including Zillow, and charge a $45 application fee. One cat permitted with a $75 non-refundable fee, but no monthly fee. SEE BELOW FOR INFO ABOUT OUR APARTMENTS, WHICH ARE AVAILABLE, WHEN, AND PRICING.

Centered on Baltimore’s historic Mount Vernon, Seton Hill, and the Westside, 21201 blends 19th‑century architecture with urban energy. Tree-lined squares around the Washington Monument, St. Mary’s Park, and the Howard Street Dog Park offer green pauses, while four-season Mid-Atlantic weather brings warm, humid summers and crisp, occasionally snowy winters. Culture anchors abound: the Walters Art Museum, Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, the Lyric, and Enoch Pratt Central Library, plus performances at the Hippodrome and Everyman Theatre. Daily conveniences include Eddie’s of Mount Vernon for groceries, Lexington Market’s food stalls, Mount Vernon Marketplace, local coffee favorites like The Bun Shop and Ceremony, and a mix of pubs and restaurants such as The Brewer’s Art and The Owl Bar. It’s highly walkable with bike lanes on Charles/Maryland avenues, Light Rail, Metro Subway, the Charm City Circulator, Penn Station, and quick I‑83 access. According to Zillow’s Rental Market Trends, recent median rent hovers around $1,600, with most listings roughly $1,200–$2,300. Generally pet friendly and popular with students and professionals.
